Volkswagen Eos 2006-2015 Specifications

The 2006-2015 Volkswagen Eos offers three engine options: a 2.0L TFSI turbocharged inline-4 (200 hp, 207 lb-ft torque), a 2.0L TDI turbocharged diesel inline-4 (140 hp, 236 lb-ft torque), and a 3.2L VR6 (250 hp, 236 lb-ft torque). The TFSI provides a balance of power and efficiency, the TDI excels in fuel economy, and the VR6 delivers superior performance.

The Eos is available with a 6-speed manual transmission for engaging driving dynamics or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DSG) for smooth and efficient gear shifts. The DSG is standard on the VR6 model.

Standard safety features include electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), and six airbags. Optional features include adaptive cruise control, park distance control, and a rollover protection system integrated into the retractable hardtop.

The Eos TDI achieves an EPA-estimated 30 mpg city/41 mpg highway, outperforming competitors like the Audi A4 Cabriolet. The TFSI and VR6 models offer competitive fuel economy for their class, with 22/29 mpg and 18/26 mpg, respectively.

Volkswagen recommends oil changes every 10,000 miles or 12 months, brake fluid changes every 2 years, and spark plug replacement every 40,000 miles for gasoline engines. Diesel engines require more frequent fuel filter changes.

Standard features include a retractable hardtop, dual-zone climate control, and a premium audio system. Optional upgrades include leather upholstery, heated seats, a navigation system, and a Dynaudio sound system.

The Eos offers 10.5 cubic feet of trunk space with the top up and 6.6 cubic feet with the top down. Passenger space is comparable to the BMW 3 Series Convertible, with ample legroom and headroom for four occupants.

The Eos is not designed for towing. Its payload capacity is approximately 850 lbs, ensuring adequate room for passengers and luggage.
